Office Manager


Location: 530 Guard Street, Friday Harbor, WA
Salary Range: $20 – $25 per hour
Hours: 20-30 hours per week


Closing Date: Open until filled. First screening of applications May 15th.

The Office Manager will perform the following duties and functions:
 Serves as Executive Assistant to the Director.
 Processes monthly and quarterly invoices and maintains a record of the budget.
 Prepares disbursement of funds to pay all bills.
 Monitors grant activities and submits all grant reports on time.
 Maintains District records including policies, minutes, resolutions and schedule of assets.
 Develops, monitors, and maintains contracts with vendors, contractors and service providers, including managing health and retirement plans.
 Purchases and maintains office supplies and asset inventory.
 Provides administrative support to the District staff, including processing mail, communications, organizing and maintaining client and grant files, staff scheduling, and filing of documents.
 Greets the public and partners in a professional, courteous and helpful manner.
 Develops and organizes materials for the Board Meetings.
 Collaborates with staff to develop programs, workshops, grants, and projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
The minimum qualifications include:
 Education - High School diploma and relevant advanced business education required; Associates Degree in Accounting, Office Management or related field is preferred.
 Work Experience - Minimum two (2) year work experience in an office environment performing the functions and duties of this position is required; Knowledge of public funds accounting, grant administration, and contract management is preferred.
 Computer skills - Experience with excel and word is required. Other relevant software program experience is highly desired (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, QuickBooks)
