Position Announcement Office Manager
San Juan Islands Conservation District
Location: 530 Guard Street, Friday Harbor, WA
Salary Range: $20 – $25 per hour
Hours: 20-30 hours per week
Closing Date: Open until filled. First screening of applications May 15th.
The Office Manager will perform the following duties and functions:
Serves as Executive Assistant to the Director.
Processes monthly and quarterly invoices and maintains a record of the budget.
Prepares disbursement of funds to pay all bills.
Monitors grant activities and submits all grant reports on time.
Maintains District records including policies, minutes, resolutions and schedule of assets.
Develops, monitors, and maintains contracts with vendors, contractors and service providers, including managing health and retirement plans.
Purchases and maintains office supplies and asset inventory.
Provides administrative support to the District staff, including processing mail, communications, organizing and maintaining client and grant files, staff scheduling, and filing of documents.
Greets the public and partners in a professional, courteous and helpful manner.
Develops and organizes materials for the Board Meetings.
Collaborates with staff to develop programs, workshops, grants, and projects as assigned.
The minimum qualifications include:
Education - High School diploma and relevant advanced business education required; Associates Degree in Accounting, Office Management or related field is preferred.
Work Experience - Minimum two (2) year work experience in an office environment performing the functions and duties of this position is required; Knowledge of public funds accounting, grant administration, and contract management is preferred.
Computer skills - Experience with excel and word is required. Other relevant software program experience is highly desired (i.e. Outlook, PowerPoint, QuickBooks)
