Healthy Forests = Management

To prevent disease and damage from insects try forest management options to protect trees valued for timber, recreation, or aesthetics.
Options include thinning forests to reduce the proportion of Douglas-fir and grand fir, increase the space between trees, and leave the healthiest pine, larch and fir trees.
